The member only Governorship grants individuals voting rights at the annual Board of Governors meeting without the additional event benefits. This package is perfect for someone who lives outside of Kansas City, wants their contribution to the American Royal to be tax deductible, or wants to be a member without the added benefits. You pick the price of your membership - to be a voting member is $150. Any additional donation above the base price is appreciated.

Please note that the amount of your contribution that is tax-deductible for Federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess amount of your donation over the value of the benefits you receive in connection with your donation. The American Royal will provide you with an estimate of such value in subsequent communications. Governor membership is good through the calendar year, renewable annually. The American Royal is a 501(c)(3).

Tickets and admission will be provided to Governors as advertised in the "Season Ticket" section of our webpage. By use of these "tickets," the user voluntarily agrees to accept and assume any and all risks associated with the event and hereby releases and waives the American Royal Association from any and all claims arising from participation in the American Royal.

By submitting this enrollment, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the American Royal, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree to not hold the American Royal Association, City of Kansas City, Missouri, County of Jackson; or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury.

Governorships and Donations are non-refundable. Should any event(s) be canceled, the value of your ticket(s) will be converted to a general donation and therefore, tax-deductible.
